Gaëlle’s extensive marketing and business development background includes roles in New York, Europe and Asia with the last eight years spent working in Hong Kong. Employed by brands such as Lanvin, Lancôme and Christofle, she later focused on sustainability when supporting innovative luxury brands enter the Greater China market. She also did some work on the Circular Economy in the luxury goods industry.

A graduate of EMLYON (Lyon Graduate School of Business), Gaëlle has also recently completed a course in Business Sustainability Management from Cambridge University. Focused on helping companies identify their own Shared Value business models, Gaëlle hopes to help accelerate the CSV movement and cross-sector collaboration in the Greater Bay Area.

Gordon Watson is the founding Chair, Shared Value Project Hong Kong and a Director of Shared Value Project (Australasia). He is the Chief Executive Officer of AXA Asia and a member of the Management Committee of AXA Group. Gordon has a MBA and is both a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Society of Marketing.

Prior to joining AXA, he was with AIG/AIA for over thirty years most recently as Regional Chief Executive responsible for AIA Group’s operations in Hong Kong & Macau, Australia, the Philippines, Vietnam and New Zealand as well as the Group’s Corporate Solutions, Healthcare, Partnership and AIA Vitality businesses.

In 2012, Bosco initiated and led the revitalization project of D2 Place, the first revitalized shopping mall-cum-office complex in Hong Kong, in which he inaugurated a “6-Step Entrepreneurship Model” as part of the Group’s Creating Shared Value (CSV) initiatives. Thousands of young entrepreneurs, local designers, and other creative parties were nurtured and benefited from D2 Place, fostering their development across the city.

Michael is currently the Programme Manager of Responsible Business at Community Business. He is a Diversity, Inclusion, and Well-being Professional with cross-disciplinary knowledge in psychology and public health.

Michael supports clients across a range of industries to find solutions to diversity challenges within their business by providing a combination of consulting and training services, as well as conducting roundtables to facilitate discussions on diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being as a societal and business issue. On a voluntary basis, Michael is the Vice Curator of the Global Shapers Community Hong Kong Hub, a youth leadership initiative of the World Economic Forum. He is leading the hub’s mental health initiative, branded as ‘Shaping Minds’, that aims to raise awareness about employee well-being, and to normalise the discussion on workplace mental health in Hong Kong.

Michael is also an alumnus of the American Express Leadership Academy, a leadership programme for young social purpose leaders and innovators. He is interested in diversity and inclusion, public health, and the translation of psychological science research to the real world

Kelvin is the Deputy Director of Enactus Hong Kong. Graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2020, he majored in Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance. Similar to his batchmates, he interned in corporates for pure business world.

In his final year, he went to Silicon Valley and won the Intuit Global Innovation Challenge. In the Challenge, he linked up more than 20 Small Businesses from different places such as Indonesia, Hawaii and Canada and allied them to survive under natural disasters within 24 hours. After that experience, he decided to pursue his career in social innovation to make more impacts on society.

His expertise lies in empowering university students to create their own business for sustainable impacts to tackle problems under the 17 SDGs proposed by the UN. He is overseeing 20+ social innovation projects in Hong Kong for 10 tertiary educations, and topics include sustainability, elderly, poverty etc.

BottLess tackles single-use plastic from a B2B2C angle, with the belief that with convenient solutions, consumers can learn baby step by baby step to build sustainable lifestyle habits. BottLess solutions have appeared at the 2019 Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, the annual Food Expo and the annual Stanley Dragonboat races.

Lehui works with the BottLess team to assess the commercial and social impact viability of these innovative solutions and strategise their scalability. She also oversees BottLess’ impact strategy, business direction, financing and resourcing, impact evaluation

Harmony is the Head of Community at Social Ventures Hong Kong (SVhk), an Impact Purpose Organisation dedicated to innovating social change for Hong Kong’s urban social issues. Harmony oversees all projects related to grassroots communities and their empowerment. She leads a team to design, innovate and implement projects that foster community spirit, bolster individual growth, and create reimaginations of Hong Kong’s perceptions of urban poverty.

Two key projects that Harmony leads are HATCH, a platform that for businesses to empower working poor mothers through work with a reindustrialisation angle, and Cradle to Classroom, a project in Sham Shui Po to uplift family wellbeing.

Prior to SVhk, Harmony was an Editor at a children’s magazine and a corporate communications manager at an NGO. She spent a year working with children with special needs at an orphanage in Qinghai. Harmony graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Social Sciences, majoring in Psychology and Media & Cultural Studies.

Heidi has previously lived and worked in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Rome, Amsterdam and Boston, in a wide variety of international organisations including British Council, and Forum for the Future, and has a Masters in Food Policy from City University London and a Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methods from University College London (UCL).

In the UK, she worked with the Protein Challenge 2040 team at Forum for the Future – a leading sustainability NGO, to help businesses to understand the need to shift to alternative proteins as the rich world tries to reduce meat consumption, as well as helping major food businesses and retailers overcome supply chain challenges. At Eating Better Alliance she helped like-minded enterprises to communicate on opening up the ‘less and better meat’ conversation to new audiences. Heidi’s goal is to see the mainstreaming of low-carbon lifestyles through food choices, in particular the normalising of sustainable diets.

Under Heidi’s leadership Food Made Good HK are proud semi-finalists of the Rockefeller Foundation Food Systems Vision Award for a sustainable food system. Of 1300+ applicants, Food Made Good HK is 1 of 79 semi-finalists!

Daniel and his wife founded Mountain Hazelnuts Group which is planting 10 million hazelnut trees on degraded slopes in partnership with smallholder farmer families and community organisations. MH is Bhutan’s first 100% FDI and the country’s largest private employer.

Previously Daniel founded Plantation Timber Products (PTP), which he built into China’s leading sustainable wood products company, with 700,000 farmers growing fast-cycle trees to PTP factories that produced fibreboard as an import substitute for tropical plywood from S.E. Asian rainforests.

Daniel started his professional career in private equity and finance. He received his BA from the UC Berkeley and MA from Stanford University.

Robert Sinclair is President of Global Supply Chain, leading supply chain activities for all brands under Global Brands Group (GBG). He joined GBG in 2018. Prior to GBG, Robert was President of Supply Chain Solutions at Li & Fung, overseeing all business-related activities for apparel, footwear and hard-goods, as well as sourcing and general merchandise. He joined Li & Fung in 2011 as Executive Vice President of Lifestyle Brands business unit and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for LF Sourcing in 2013.

Previously, Robert has held senior positions in various capacities with VF Asia Ltd, the global procurement business unit for VF Corporation based in Hong Kong, and Ralph Lauren Corporation. Born and raised in Canada, Ottawa, Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Carleton University in Canada and has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore and New York.

Prior to joining Medix, Jonathan held various executive positions as a business development and strategic consultant focusing on market entry strategies and international expansion for companies such as Miele and Teva Pharmaceuticals. He also represented Invest Hong Kong, assisting and advising companies, looking to establish a presence in Asia. Jonathan holds a BA in International Relations and Business and an MBA focusing on Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Jonathan is also an accomplished food and wine writer having published over 200 articles on the topic.

Judy Wong

Judy joined Tricor Group in October of 2018 as Group General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, she provides both the Group office and the board with effective advice on the firm’s legal strategies and spearheads the implementation. She oversees the Group’s legal and compliance functions and external legal advisors across 21 markets worldwide. Judy also works closely with the M&A team to provide legal, compliance and strategic advisory to the Group executive team and the board on all M&A transactions.

Prior to Tricor, Judy was with Ernst & Young Greater China General Counsel Office for eight years, holding positions of Legal Counsel, Assistant General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel. As Deputy General Counsel, she was responsible for all corporate, commercial and employment legal matters and personal data privacy issues in the firm’s Greater China Region. This region spanned Hong Kong, mainland China, Macau, Mongolia and Taiwan and employed a staff of 10,000 across four separate areas of professional practice. Prior to Ernst & Young, Judy held in-house legal counsel roles at Asia Television Limited and CITIC Ka Wah Bank Limited and associate at Linklaters and Mayer Brown JSM.

Judy completed her Bachelor of Law degree and her Postgraduate Certificate in Law from the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law. She has been a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong since 1993. Judy is proficient in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Dr. Calvin Lee Kwan is currently Head of Sustainability at Link Asset Management Limited, manager of one of the world’s largest retail focused real estate investment trusts. He oversees the execution of a world-class corporate sustainability program, encompassing strategy, operational efficiency, culture development, thought leadership and policy advocacy. He is also responsible for translating and communicating these efforts to the growing body of ESG-focused investors globally, positioning Link as a sustainable and responsible investment.

Innovation is Calvin’s passion. He has been a pioneer of sustainable finance, issuing Hong Kong’s first green bond in 2016, followed by the global real estate sector’s first benchmark sized convertible green bond in 2019. He connects Link’s long term ESG performance with financial incentives in the form of sustainability linked loans. Calvin’s latest endeavour is the launch of Business as Mutual, an ecosystem-centric playbook outlining how businesses formalise, transform and achieve goals to create and realise value in an increasingly sustainability-focused world.

Calvin is a member of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative’s (UNEPFI) Investment Commission, and co-chair of its Property Working Group. He is responsible for steering the group’s efforts on contemporary global business issues including developing TCFD-compliant reporting methodologies, measuring positive impact and COVID-response risks and opportunities.

As an adjunct associate professor at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, he nurtures future generations of sustainability professionals, teaching post-graduate courses in environmental policy, corporate sustainability and directs a business sustainability focused research group in the Division of Environment.

Calvin holds a BS in Business Administration and Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside, Master and Doctorate degrees in Environmental Science and Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, an EMBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern and is currently completing a JD at Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Lars Aagaard

Head of M&A and Head of Financial Sponsors, Asia Pacific, Barclays

Lars is a Managing Director and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions and the Financial Sponsors Group, Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. In his role as Head of the Asia Pacific M&A business, which he assumed in January 2019, Lars is responsible for driving and overseeing the Firm’s M&A activity across the region.

As Head of the Asia Pacific Financial Sponsors Group, Lars is responsible for leading all Banking relationships and transactions in the Financial Sponsor sector. Lars was appointed to this position in 2015. Lars is a member of the Asia Pacific Banking OpCo, Chair of the Firm’s Regional Citizenship Council and Banking representative of the BAF committee. He joined Barclays in 2010 in Sydney, as Head of Financial Sponsors Group, Australia.

Lars has 20 years of investment banking experience. Prior to Barclays, he was at Morgan Stanley for 10 years, in London and Sydney in a variety of roles, including Operations Officer for IBD Australia. Prior to his banking career, Lars worked for two years as assistant and interpreter to the Defence Attaché at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Moscow.

He graduated from Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in 2000 with a Master of Science in Finance and holds a university degree in Russian Language from the University of Bergen. Lars also graduated from the Norwegian Defence School for Intelligence and Security in 1993 and is a First Lieutenant (reserve) in the Norwegian Army.
